Who we are
The Founders.
We both grew up in Georgia, and we read every business ourselves. We would enjoy a conversation about what you have built whether or not selling is anywhere on your mind.
We are operators rather than a fund. There is no investment committee between you and a decision, and nobody behind us you would never meet. It means we move on our own timetable, and it means the answers you get from us are the real ones.
Tad Aycock
Co-Founder
Tad grew up in Milton, Georgia and went to Georgia Tech, where he was an offensive lineman on the football team. He has worked in M&A deal advisory at Grant Thornton, private equity at Roark Capital, and investment banking at Citizens M&A. He lives in Atlanta.
Luke Mersberger
Co-Founder
Luke grew up in Atlanta and studied finance at UGA. He worked in real estate private credit at Spruce Financial while managing and investing his late father’s estate across a range of asset classes. He lives with his wife in Athens.
Why we started this
Why Vincennes exists.
We watched private equity firms come into Atlanta that did not care about the businesses they bought. We want to be the ones who do.
We have spent our careers working alongside businesses in and out of this sector. We found it appealing, and we have spent the past couple of years watching it, researching it and mapping these verticals. We came away thinking it is where we can deliver real value, in our own backyard.
